New Delhi 18th Jan: Coffee consumption has grown the world over in 2011, despite economic turbulance in many importing countries, says International Coffee Organisation.
"Preliminary information on world consumption in 2011 indicates that it has remained resillient to the economic turbulence seen in many importing countries, " the Organisation (ICO) said in a report.
Total consumtion in 2010 reached 135 million bags of 60 kg each, with the most dynamic growth coming from the domestic consumption in exporting countries, it added.
Global consumption of coffee rose 2.4 percent to 135 million bags in 2010 from 131.8 million bags in 2009.
